GREAT question. There are a few reasons....

1. Our blends are made with 100% real, whole food, organic ingredients - no "dehydrated vegetable blends", cheap alternatives, or fillers. Real, fresh, organic ingredients sourced locally can be more expensive than factory-made artifical alternatives like our competitors use. This also makes our blends taste significantly better than any other smoothies out there.

2. Our blends are made by dietitians to be functional - they really work to support specific symptoms. In order to do this, they need to be stuffed full of important ingredients beyond just frozen fruit, like chickpeas, oats, nut butters, fresh plant-milk, kefir, maca root, ginger root, chia seeds, cacao nibs, flax seeds, and many other high-quality, and thus high-price functional ingredients.

3. We're a small business, run by a small kitchen team, and one woman. While our competitors use factory copackers and other means to cut costs (like heat processing, dehydrated powdered ingredients, and aggregated copackers so their team doesn't even see their finished product - yuck!), we make all of our blends in-house, by hand, in small batches. Yep. Every single blend is made, taste-tested, and quality controlled by our in-house team. Even the CEO taste tests blends to check for quality and taste once a week!

4. Your subscription comes with access to your very own 24/7 nutritionist via text message! All our of registered dietitians are brilliant, and are valued at about $250 an hour - you have your very own, in your pocket, available to answer any nutrition questions at any time - included in your subscription!

We use exclusively whole, real vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, protein, and spices. Our ingredients are organic; and we think added sugars, artificial ingredients, preservatives, and other garbage is gross.

We got you! We have several blends to meet every nutritional need. When building your bundle, simply tap the blend you're interested in to see its ingredients and allergens.

After you select your blends and hit subscribe, your personal dietitian nutritionist will text you to introduce herself. Our dietitians and chefs will get to work blending up smoothies perfect for YOU. They’ll freeze those into cubes and package them up for you to receive within one week from ordering. From there, your blends will be delivered at the cadence you choose (biweekly or monthly), and you'll be able to update your flavors before each delivery. You can cancel, skip a week, or change your subscription at any time. You can also always text your 24/7 dietitian to ask questions about blends or to update your subscription preferences. 

To make each blend, simply pop 6 cubes into a blender, add 1 cup of your favorite liquid (our team gives their favorite liquid recommendations for each blend here!), and blend. To make a smaller smoothie, use only 3 cubes and 1/2 cup liquid. To make a smoothie bowl, add only 1/2 cup liquid to 6 cubes.

You can always log into your account to update your subscription preferences or select your new flavors. You can also text your 24/7 dietitian or contact our team to make any changes to your subscription. You can pause, skip, or cancel anytime without fees.

You do not need to be home in order for your box to be delivered. We pack our boxes with enough ice to keep your blends frozen for a few hours after delivery, but it's important to get them into a freezer as soon as possible, ideally within a couple hours.

Carefully leave your dry ice in a well-ventilated spot, or an outdoor space, away from kids and pets, and be sure not to touch it with bare hands (oven mits work great!). You can dissolve our ecofriendly cooler in water (a fun sensory activity for any littles!), reuse it, or compost it. Heck, we even know a customer who turns it into soup (it's edible, too!). It’s the most sustainable cooler in the world, so kudos to you for being so eco-friendly. :) You can repurpose our cube trays as seed starters, for freezing sauces/soups/baby food, freezing herb infused oils, or making fancy ice cubes.
